Warehouse Assistant

About the Job

As a Warehouse Assistant at Communauté d'agglomération de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, preparing, and shipping merchandise and materials specific to our services.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and ship merchandise and materials to various departments: verification, preparation, storage, and shipping of goods delivered to the warehouse, processing of order forms, and entering information into software.
• Handle and store all types of merchandise using appropriate lifting equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.), checking quantities and quality of products.
• Regularly conduct inventory, update stock levels, manage receipts, storage, and shipping documents.
• Ensure the implementation of safety guidelines for employees and stored goods, organize waste sorting, clean equipment, and check its condition.
• Manage the sorting center (sorting documents in transit for the library network), prepare and control monthly publication lots.
• Potentially participate in the logistical implementation of SQY events.
• Contribute to sustainable development by organizing waste sorting on the site, sorting packaging materials, and participating in energy-saving initiatives.

Requirements

• First experience in similar roles, knowledge of lifting and carrying heavy materials, safety rules, and storage regulations.
• Rigorous and reactive, able to demonstrate versatility and teamwork.
• Permit B required. CACES 1,3,5 appreciated.
