We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Lead Project Coordinator to join our team within the nuclear industry. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage intricate nuclear projects, ensuring their completion is achieved safely, punctually, within budget, and to the utmost quality standards. This position is vital for the successful execution of key initiatives within our nuclear facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Initiation
- Formulate detailed project plans, encompassing scope, timeline, budget, and resource distribution.
- Establish project goals, deliverables, and success metrics in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Project Execution and Oversight
- Guide project teams, offering direction and support to ensure effective project execution.
- Track project advancement, performance, and compliance with timelines and budgets.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Interact and communicate with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and challenges.
- Risk and Issue Management
- Identify potential project risks and challenges, and devise mitigation strategies.
- Implement risk management protocols to minimize project disruptions and ensure continuity.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all project activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance protocols.
- Conduct regular quality assessments and audits to verify that project deliverables meet established standards.
- Budget and Resource Oversight
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
- Allocate resources efficiently and monitor resource utilization to enhance project performance.
- Change Management
- Implement change management procedures to address project modifications and scope adjustments.
- Communicate and document changes, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Project Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain precise and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and logs.
- Generate detailed project reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Leadership and Team Development
- Mentor and develop project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure team members achieve their professional aspirations.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in project management.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the project team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated environment.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
