Network and Security Engineer

We are part of the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium, a collaborative effort between leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centers, and industry. Our team of experts is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with microprocessor technology.
About the RoleIn this role, you will work closely with our CIO to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and efficient.
You will be responsible for managing our networks, including data centers, offices, and remote locations. You will also ensure site and WAN interconnections and relationships with telecommunications providers.
As a key member of our IT team, you will participate in the deployment of network security policies to protect all data. You will monitor network activities to detect and prevent security incidents, implement intrusion prevention mechanisms, and manage SSL/TLS certificates.
You will provide level 2/3 support to resolve network and security-related incidents. You will work closely with IT teams and other departments to meet network needs, analyze and identify the root cause of incidents, and propose corrective actions.
Requirements- Fluent English in an international environment
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Mastery of switching and routing technologies
- Experience in configuring and managing firewalls and security devices
- Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.)
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with network monitoring and management tools
- Programming/scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell)
- Engineering degree or equivalent level of expertise
- At least 5 years of prior experience in the field
