About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Spectroscopy Research Scientist to join our dynamic research team at the ISM (Institut de Science des Matériaux). This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of spectroscopy, with a focus on optical activity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct experimental investigations using various spectroscopic techniques.
  • Perform quantum chemistry calculations to model and predict spectroscopic properties.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, drawing meaningful conclusions and insights.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists from different institutions.
  • Prepare scientific reports and publications for dissemination in peer-reviewed journals.

Your Qualifications

  • Hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Demonstrate prior experience in spectroscopy research, particularly optical activity.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be proficient in programming languages such as Python, Origin, or Octave for data analysis and visualization.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Have fluency in English; basic French is desirable.
