Position Overview
The Industry Risk Management Specialist plays a crucial role in evaluating and mitigating risks within the Industry sector, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Group Risk Management framework. This position involves comprehensive monitoring of various risk assessment initiatives across different functions and locations within the Industry, ensuring that risks are effectively managed and minimized.
Key Responsibilities
1. Annual Risk Assessment
Conduct and execute the yearly risk evaluation for the Industry by collaborating with stakeholders to monitor diverse industry risk maps, including Quality, Supply Chain, Internal and External Manufacturing, and Product Strategy.
2. Risk Mitigation Collaboration
Assist various teams in developing risk mitigation strategies, ensuring follow-up and implementation at both the Industry level and within individual departments or sites.
3. Risk Committee Preparation
Organize and prepare for the quarterly Industry Risk Committee meetings in collaboration with risk sponsors and owners, facilitating discussions among stakeholders.
4. Control Mechanisms
Establish control loops to ensure the sustainability of risk mitigation efforts, alerting the Industry leadership team to emerging risks and ensuring all pertinent issues are addressed.
5. Risk Management Framework Compliance
Ensure that the risk management framework aligns with the directives from the Group Risk Management Department, supporting the overall risk management process through documentation and participation in Group risk committees.
6. Business Continuity Management
Define and oversee the Business Continuity Management Systems within the Industry, implementing corporate standards, prioritizing disruption scenarios, conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA), and developing and maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
7. Leadership Engagement
Actively engage with organizational leadership to promote a culture of risk management, facilitating communication and training initiatives to maintain high awareness levels regarding risk management practices.
8. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Collaborate with other Group departments on transversal risks, including Internal Audit, Compliance, Finance, Information Systems, Legal, and Insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree with a specialization or certification in Risk Management.
- Proficiency in English and French.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years focused on risk management, preferably within the industrial sector.
- Experience in auditing and/or internal control.
- Proven track record in implementing business continuity plans.
- Strong consulting skills.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and supply chain processes is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Assertive, methodical, and attentive to detail.
- Team-oriented with a dynamic approach.
- Results-driven with a focus on performance.
