We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join our team at OnHires. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, providing advanced technical support, and collaborating with our software development team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including MS-based systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot virtualization solutions, such as VMware.
- Provide advanced technical support to IT and non-IT users.
- Collaborate with the software development team to ensure proper IT resource allocation planning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Microsoft Expertise:
- Active Directory (AD) and Exchange support, including AD forest migration.
- Proficient in directory services (GPO, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WSUS, user profile management).
- Experience with Windows Server and End User technology, including Antivirus and patch management.
- Skilled in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and maintenance for high availability.
- Knowledge of Application Packaging Standards, Desktop Standards, Hardware Imaging, and OS Patches.
- Proficient in Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server
- Virtualization:
- Experience with VMware Horizon View (7.x+).
- Skilled in VMware vSphere and ESXi (6.x+).
- Knowledge of VMware applications and physical infrastructure services.
- Understanding of Windows Desktop OS design considerations for various devices.
- Proficient in diagnosing VDI issues and hypervisor tuning.
- Expertise with SAN and VSAN storage.
- Linux Skills (Desirable):
- Experience with Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat.
- Configuring Linux for optimal performance.
- Proficient in performance monitoring and tuning.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Other Technologies:
- Demonstrated NMS (Zabbix, Kibana, etc.) implementation history.
- Unified Endpoint Management (UEM).
- Expert backup admin skills using Veeam.
- Strong Networking knowledge - netmasks, VLANs, ACLs, DHCP, DNS, routing.
- Good scripting knowledge is preferred for automation using PowerShell, Ansible, etc.
- Microsoft Expert level (or MCSE) certifications.
- VCP - VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization certification.
- VCP - VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility certification.
- Cisco Professional certification - CCNP+
