Job Title: Design Director
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Design Director to lead our retail design team in creating innovative and luxurious retail spaces that exceed our client's expectations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in luxury retail design, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the latest design trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall design strategy and vision for our client's retail spaces globally, ensuring alignment with their brand values and business objectives.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers and architects, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages new ideas and design excellence.
- Design Execution: Oversee the conceptualization and design development of store designs, ensuring they reflect the brand's luxurious and sophisticated aesthetic, while adapting to local cultures and trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with merchandising, specialists, and store planning teams to ensure cohesive and impactful design solutions.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging design technologies, and competitive landscape, introducing innovative design concepts that enhance the customer experience and drive brand loyalty.
Requirements:
- Experience in management and directorship roles within retail brands
- 15+ years' experience as an architect or Interior Designer
- Experience in high-end luxury retail stores
- Proven experience in concept and design stages
- Great design eye and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate well with internal and external teams
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
