About the Role
As Director of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Doctolib's financial solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a secure, scalable, and country-agnostic product suite that empowers care teams to manage billing, payments, administrative tasks, and financial activities effectively.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic technical roadmap for our Financial Solutions domain, prioritizing customer satisfaction and long-term success.
- Collaborate closely with business and product teams to translate requirements into actionable technical plans. Influence key stakeholders at senior levels to drive impactful decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team of 50+ members (and growing), fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Effectively manage competing priorities, ensuring the team remains focused, productive, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- Champion a customer-centric approach, driving initiatives to enhance user satisfaction and deliver best-in-class experiences.
- Establish and maintain rigorous standards for security, reliability, performance, and scalability across all financial solutions products.
- Drive continuous system improvements by optimizing processes, documentation, staffing, and project management methodologies.
Your Profile
- Possess 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technical design, with a proven track record of building multi-product and multi-country distributed systems.
- Demonstrate extensive experience scaling a technical organization (50+ members) while fostering talent development, upskilling initiatives, and a process-oriented culture.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills, effectively translating complex technical concepts to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Be a strategic thinker with strong leadership qualities, capable of driving innovation and achieving ambitious goals.
