Junior Data Analyst H/F
Team Overview: Nature Solutions Team
The Nature Solutions Team provides insights into physical and environmental risks for regulators, investors, and governments worldwide. Leveraging Kayrros' advanced satellite processing capabilities, this team develops extensive solutions for tasks such as biomass estimation, species identification, deforestation analysis, and environmental risk modeling and mapping.
Role Overview:
Data Analysts play a vital role at Kayrros, engaging in both research and development initiatives and specific client projects. Their responsibilities primarily involve creating models using diverse methodologies based on contemporary scientific literature, including computer vision, machine learning, and signal processing. Collaboration with data engineers is essential to establish robust data pipelines, while teamwork with data analysts is crucial for analyzing and visualizing model outcomes.
Analysts encounter two primary challenges:
- The variety and intricacy of available data. Kayrros possesses extensive expertise in remote sensing, working with data from various sensors (multispectral, hyperspectral, SAR, LIDAR, geostationary). Understanding the unique characteristics of each technology and selecting the most suitable for specific challenges is a critical step.
- Building knowledge around climate modeling and risk scenarios.
As a Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Defining problems based on available data and project requirements.
- Investigating and evaluating existing methodologies or relevant scientific literature.
- Designing, implementing, and testing algorithms.
- Continuously contributing ideas for product enhancement and participating in team discussions.
- Fostering a culture centered around remote sensing data.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
