About the Role

We are seeking an experienced FC Manager to join our team at zooplus SE. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing our Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, quality, punctuality, efficiency, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Management: Manage the relationship between logistics service providers and zooplus, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality services.
  • Supplier Performance: Monitor and manage supplier performance, KPIs, and supplier reports, leading corrective actions to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Business Reviews: Conduct weekly business reviews and GEMBA walks, following up on identified issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Service Levels and Cost: Analyze service levels and cost, driving continuous improvement of warehouse processes in collaboration with logistics service providers.
  • Project Management: Support and lead projects related to operations, linked to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Close cooperation with headquarters and cross-functional teams across Europe, driving zooplus quality expectations and standards together with external logistics service providers.
  • Material Flow: Control and improve material flow processes proactively, reacting in a timely manner for issue resolution.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for inventory levels of consumables, optimizing usage and monitoring delivery timeliness.
  • Strategic Development: Help drive the strategic development of the Fulfillment Team, collaborating with service providers and the Engineering team to investigate further capacity increase projects.
  • Process Standards: Develop process standards and implement them, request and support design metrics, KPIs, tools, and dashboards.
  • Training and Leadership: Train other FC managers on processes and lead processes related to regular metrics reviews and benchmarking with all FC managers.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in 3rd party logistics on the provider and/or customer side (e-commerce/B2C preferred) or experience leading as a site leader of a warehouse.
  • Skills: Analytical, process-oriented, and data-driven, with proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of logistical and administrative processes and systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Hands-on mentality, willingness to take ownership, high mobility, and a willingness to travel (25-30%). Self-starter and result-oriented work attitude.
  • Language: Excellent English language skills, spoken and written; French is preferable.
  • Education: Strong planning and organizing skills, with good knowledge of standard MS Office programs.
  • Methodological Competence: Profound methodological competence in process and material flow analysis, as well as intralogistics.
  • Project Management: Experience in leading medium-complex to complex role-related projects.
  • E-commerce Fulfillment: Sound understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and technical requirements.
