As an experienced Senior Financial Accountant, you will provide assistance and/or bring your expertise in accounting and tax to other members of the French tax platform to ensure consistency and proper application of accounting and tax rules across the entire French perimeter.
In carrying out your missions, you will strictly apply Aperam Group and local rules regarding Health & Safety, and Environment, and strictly respect the rules of Aperam's business code of conduct.
Main Responsibilities
• In collaboration with the local teams and the shared service center based in Poland, you will autonomously carry out/manage all general accounting operations up to the balance sheet and income statement, according to French accounting rules. You will guarantee the reliability of the accounts in compliance with current accounting, social and tax legislation and put in place the required internal controls.
• You will significantly contribute to the closing process (monthly, yearly) in compliance with the Group agenda and instructions (journal entries, general ledger, trial balance, fixed asset, inventories, provisions including tax provisions, tax integration accounting, IFRS reconciliation, deferred taxes etc).
• You will prepare corporate income tax declarations, statutory financial statements and other appendices in connection with the approval of the accounts and manage, coordinate/oversee the preparation of the tax declarations for companies being part of the tax integration group in close collaboration with other accountants of the French tax platform.
• You will supervise and identify documents to provide to the various auditors (internal, external)/answer auditor's questions.
• You will prepare all other tax declarations (VAT, local taxes etc.), ensure their electronic filing and manage all related payments.
• You will work in close collaboration with the Group Tax Department and ensure the proper application of changes in French tax legislation monitored by the Tax Department and/or other recommendations from the Tax Department.
• With the support of the team, you will also carry out the mandatory studies requested from the Banque de France, INSEE, etc.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or DSCG
• +8 years experience in a similar function ideally within a multinational group
• Excellent knowledge of applicable accounting rules/standards (national and international) and solid knowledge of French tax regulations
• French accounting/IFRS & IAS/French Tax professional skills
• Excellent command of Excel and SAP
• Respect confidentiality, rigorous and well organized

• Adaptability for new tool and accounting techniques
