Job Summary

The Aviator Firefighter is responsible for protecting the nation's airspace and ensuring the safety of personnel and aircraft. This role requires a unique blend of firefighting and aviation skills, making it an exciting and challenging career opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Intervene in aircraft fires and rescue personnel on board
  • Ensure the preventive safety of personnel, aircraft, and base installations (fire safety and nuclear safety)
  • Perform surveillance duties within a coordination post
  • Carry out maintenance, monitoring, and management of firefighting equipment
  • As a junior corporal, perform simple tasks in correlation with their position
  • As an equipment operator, perform complex operations under the orders of a more senior technician
  • After passing a test (SN1), access the rank of corporal chief and lead a team of equipment operators
  • With internal recruitment possibilities, access the corps of non-commissioned officers

Requirements

  • French nationality
  • Less than 30 years old at the time of contract signing
  • Level 3 education
  • Driving license B
  • Passing selection tests (including medical tests related to the specialty)
