About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fisheries and Aquaculture Consultant to join our team at Bureau Veritas Living Resources. As a key member of our global consulting subsidiary, you will play a crucial role in supporting the transition of living businesses, administrations, and territories towards greater sustainability.

Your primary responsibility will be to participate in business development and the deployment of tailor-made services, in France and internationally, with our clients. This will involve carrying out studies and technical assistance projects in the fields of aquaculture and fisheries, setting up groups, implementing study or technical assistance contracts, producing consultancy missions, and writing various deliverables.

You will work within your field of expertise in a team and independently, ensuring the coordination of multidimensional projects and leading a network of partners. Your operational skills, knowledge of the sector, and professional network will enable you to identify and respond to calls for tenders and commercial opportunities in this specialty.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in socio-economics, public policies, or law, with at least 5 years of successful experience in a design office or a recognized structure related to the field of the position. You should have an established professional network and recognized expertise in the fields of maritime economics, coastal management, and policies, or more generally on projects with high sustainability issues.

The ideal candidate will have a command of English, allowing them to work in this language, and command of another language would be an additional asset. You will be required to travel in France and abroad.

Requirements
  • Higher education (Bac +5 minimum) with a specialization in one of the following areas: socio-economics, public policies, law.
  • At least 5 years of successful experience in a design office or in a recognized structure related to the field of the position in France or abroad.
  • Established professional network and recognized expertise in the fields of maritime economics, coastal management, and policies, or more generally on projects with high sustainability issues.
  • Strong sense of service, interpersonal skills, autonomy, rigor, and organizational skills.
  • Command of English, with command of another language being an additional asset.
