About SBS Digital Lending

In 2024, SBS launched its Digital Lending division through the acquisition of the French startup October, aiming to provide SMEs with a seamless financing experience via an efficient SaaS end-to-end lending solution for financial institutions.

Combining the agility of a fintech with the backing of the Sopra Steria group, SBS Digital Lending crafts technological solutions for financial institutions worldwide, ensuring services are accessible to everyone, everywhere, at any time. Job Responsibilities

We believe that reinventing financing presents a significant technological challenge, which is why we established October as a tech and data-centric startup. Currently, a team of 18 developers collaborates closely with the Product team to create the ultimate financing experience.

At SBS Digital Lending, we prioritize JavaScript . Consequently, our entire tech stack is based on JS: we utilize Node.js (with some TypeScript ) and MongoDB for back-end development, React.js for front-end, and React Native for mobile applications. Our platform operates on AWS , deployed using Terraform and GitHub Actions . You can explore our complete tech stack here:

We emphasize ownership and mentorship at SBS Digital Lending. By adhering to best coding practices and conducting code reviews, we ensure the delivery of high-quality code while facilitating the growth of our developers' skills.

Our teams follow the Scrum methodology, organized into three squads comprising Tech and Product teams.

Your Daily Tasks:

  • Draft technical specifications for features in collaboration with the Product team.
  • Write clean code in JavaScript / TypeScript, including relevant tests.
  • Assist in building a scalable infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop a robust API utilized by our web application and SaaS clients.
  • Review code contributions from fellow developers.
  • Enhance our product, technical stack, and processes.
  • Mentor junior developers within the team.
  • Design and implement complex features or architectures.

Required Qualifications

What We Expect from You:

  • Experience in building back-end systems using an OOP or functional programming language.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with a DBMS (SQL or NoSQL).
  • Understanding of best practices in code quality (testing, CI/CD, etc.).
  • A curious mindset and eagerness to expand your technical knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in English.
