Overview of the Position

As a key member of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering team within the Group Emerging Technologies and Data (GETD) division at AXA, you will play a crucial role in driving AI-driven initiatives. This collaborative team focuses on developing AI solutions (such as proofs of concept and pilots) alongside AXA entities and strategic partners, while also establishing and promoting best practices, tools, and collaborative frameworks for AI and Generative AI across the AXA Group. Our diverse team of 10 professionals operates in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and on-site collaboration across three countries: France, Spain, and Switzerland.

Primary Responsibilities

In your role as an LLMOps Engineer Expert, you will oversee the comprehensive lifecycle management of large language models (LLM) across AXA entities. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Developing and disseminating best practices for LLMOps across AXA.
  • Assessing and selecting optimal LLMOps tools to integrate best practices.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in LLM technologies and operational methodologies.
  • Participating in architecture design and validation sessions for Generative AI use cases.
  • Contributing to the creation and enhancement of Generative AI use cases, including the development of standard processes, frameworks, templates, libraries, and best practices.
  • Designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure necessary for the effective operation of large language models in collaboration with AXA entities.
  • Providing guidance and expertise to AXA entities in scaling Generative AI use cases.
  • Acting as the authority on LLMOps practices, which includes: (1) Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for LLM deployment, (2) Monitoring LLM performance and implementing optimizations, (3) Ensuring the security of LLM operations through thorough risk assessments and robust security measures.
  • Collaborating with data and IT teams to streamline data collection, preparation, and model training processes.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience in the industrialization of Generative AI projects utilizing best LLMOps practices.
  • A solid foundation in computer science principles.
  • Familiarity with LLM models and relevant techniques, as well as the tools and frameworks used for implementation (e.g., LangChain, LangSmith, Vector store, RLHF).
  • Demonstrated experience in LLM monitoring and observability.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to lead technical presentations, workshops, and architecture design sessions.
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new trends in Generative AI.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building and influencing capabilities.
  • Resilience and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that will be considered include:

  • Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
  • Familiarity with the insurance and finance sectors.
