Job Title: Strategic Purchasing Missions Specialist

Reporting to the Regional Director and collaborating closely with local business leaders, your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing guidance and support to organizations in enhancing their purchasing practices and standardizing procedures.
  • Assisting business leaders in evaluating the purchasing efficiency of their organization and tracking purchasing metrics.
  • Facilitating companies in strategic pricing, negotiations, major orders, and conflict resolution.
  • Engaging in the launch of strategic initiatives and project assessments.
  • Negotiating framework agreements, consolidations, pricing lists for standardized offerings, and exceptions from manufacturers.
  • Centralizing files for internal and external globalization.
  • Securing subcontracting purchases through the establishment of contracts.
  • Supporting the implementation, assistance, and training for the utilization of purchasing tools such as CODEX, Easybuy, and others for local companies.

Enhancing purchasing workflows to elevate the purchasing maturity of organizations.

Leading the Purchasing / Procurement teams in the region (approach and purchasing policy, tools, training).

Centralizing and leveraging purchasing opportunities to deploy suitable purchasing strategies.

Managing supplier relationships effectively.

  • Overseeing the supplier and subcontractor panel and sourcing activities.
  • Monitoring variances, purchasing dashboards, and targeted business improvements.
  • Contributing to the development of catalogs and assisting companies in refining the classification of their purchases.

Coordinating with the Purchasing Pole network and executing the resultant policy.

Managing and directing targeted pole and VEF framework agreements.

Participating in the Direction CODI and contributing to purchasing reporting and sharing of best practices.

CONTEXT

The purchasing mission officer operates distinct from the purchasing director, needing to consider their environment to effectively fulfill their responsibilities.

The companies served are considered 'clients'. The RA retains full accountability for their business.

Functioning as a 'support' and cross-functional role for companies.

Possessing a solid educational background (e.g., Master 2 in 'purchasing management').

Having a comprehensive understanding of the organization and its processes (operational projects and FDC, financial and contractual).

Exhibiting team spirit and a passion for collaborative challenges.

Demonstrating strong communication skills, the ability to persuade, and to provide clarity.

Proficiency in English.

Embracing a continuous improvement mindset.
