Global Category Manager – Components and Materials

Formulate and execute the Global Category strategy, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders across multiple sites. Lead supplier sourcing initiatives for the category, incorporating ongoing technology intelligence assessments. Establish a pipeline of cost-saving initiatives and opportunities utilizing all sourcing advantages. Serve as the Key Account Manager for pivotal suppliers. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the adoption and execution of strategic sourcing plans. Maintain consistency in sourcing roadmap data and monitor target achievements. Define, gain stakeholder approval, and drive the execution of the Category Strategy. Oversee negotiations, business reviews, and key commercial agreements with suppliers. Ensure over 80% coverage of Contracts and NDAs with all suppliers. Coordinate and implement cost reduction projects according to the established roadmap across various sites and functions. Lead the preparation of the Category budget. Conduct supplier market analysis and benchmarking, along with technology intelligence monitoring. Act as the primary point of contact for category subject matter expertise. Promote and manage category activities across multiple sites. Provide functional leadership to Global Buyers. Required Business Experience Minimum of 7 years of international and global sourcing experience. Experience in a complex global organization. Proven leadership abilities in a matrix organization with a global perspective. Expertise in change management and cross-functional collaboration. Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence. Understanding of sourcing processes. Proficiency in strategy development. Financial and business acumen. Strong analytical capabilities. Experience in contract negotiation. Skills in business innovation. Willingness to travel over 20% of the time. Education Background and Language Skills Required
Master’s degree in Economics or Engineering; engineering experience is advantageous. Fluency in English and French is essential; proficiency in Italian or German is a plus.
