We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at HSBC. As a key member of our Financial Crime Framework team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of French and European regulations across our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and analyze EU and French regulatory changes specific to Financial Crime, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead in all French regulatory reporting, including the ACPR AML-FT and Sanctions Internal Control Reports, as well as annual ACPR AML Questionnaire.
- Collaborate with other teams across Continental Europe to support regulatory change at a European level and provide training and awareness initiatives.
- Participate in French Banking Association meetings related to Financial Crime themes.
- Execute regular gap analysis reviews between EU, French regulation, and Group Financial Crime Policy, procedures, and reports.
- Provide advice on French Regulation for questions raised by the HBCE Compliance teams.
- Prepare slides and briefings for various governance committees across HBCE as needed.
- Strong knowledge of French and European regulations, particularly in the area of Financial Crime.
- Ability to analyze complex data and provide written executive summaries to governance committees.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
