Position: Lead Operator for Road Maintenance

By becoming part of the Haute-Savoie Department, you will engage in a mission focused on human and territorial solidarity. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing various sectors, including social services, education, infrastructure maintenance, sports, culture, and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage road maintenance teams, including permanent staff and seasonal workers.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute road maintenance and winter operations.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the budget for maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular patrols and supervise winter maintenance operations.
- Participate in night shifts and weekend/holiday duties during winter or maintenance periods.
- Monitor the condition of the road network.
- Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Manage and regulate work schedules for team members.
- Provide temporary coverage for other team leaders during their absence.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with road maintenance, operational procedures, and winter service protocols.
Proficient in standard office software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
Excellent written communication skills and project management capabilities.
A valid driver's license (category B) is required; category C is preferred.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented with strong leadership qualities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
Proactive and responsible in all tasks.
Specific Requirements:
- Availability for night patrols and interventions, including weekends and holidays during winter or maintenance periods.
