Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer

We're seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team at Interstellar Lab. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced HVAC systems that provide precise climate control of our BioPods and BioFarming solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high precision climate control HVAC systems tailored for specialized environments
  • Select appropriate HVAC equipment and technologies to meet specific climate control requirements
  • Create detailed P&ID, HVAC 3D models, and specifications for HVAC installations, based on initial product requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering team to design and integrate HVAC systems and piping layouts
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve HVAC-related issues in controlled environments
  • Ensure all HVAC systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in sustainable advanced HVAC technology and precision climate control
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field
  • ~ PE, LEED, or HVAC-specific certifications) is a plus
  • ~5+ years of professional experience in HVAC engineering with a focus on precision climate control
  • ~ Proven experience in Controlled-Environment Agriculture, Precision Agriculture, Clean Rooms, Laboratories, or Data Centers
  • ~ Polyvalent spirit and ability to switch from design to hands-on phases
  • Demonstrated experience designing high quality HVAC systems for high reliability applications
