Role Overview:
A Transport Specialist is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and packages. This role involves operating various vehicles, including vans and trucks, ensuring that deliveries are executed efficiently and with excellent customer service. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the physical capability to handle heavy packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles for transporting goods.
- Load and unload materials with care.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to clients.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel consumption.
Qualifications:
- Experience driving a straight truck.
- Possession of a CDL Class B and a clean driving record.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation, such as forklifts.
- Ability to safely load and unload materials using appropriate equipment.
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
