We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled CFD/LBM Researcher to contribute to our cutting-edge research in thermohydraulics. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in developing and refining system-scale models for our ASTEC software, a leading tool in the nuclear industry.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and propose innovative system-scale models for the ASTEC software platform.
- Conduct advanced CFD calculations utilizing the Lattice Boltzmann method to simulate complex fluid flow phenomena.
- Provide insightful analysis and interpretation of experimental data, contributing to a deeper understanding of thermohydraulic processes.
- Collaborate with international teams on the development and enhancement of the ASTEC software, pushing the boundaries of simulation technology.
- Identify critical research needs for safety studies within the nuclear sector, ensuring our work remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
- Disseminate your research findings to the wider nuclear community through publications and presentations, sharing your expertise and contributing to knowledge advancement.
- Embrace a flexible work environment with regular remote work opportunities.
Your Qualifications:
- A PhD in Fluid Mechanics or a closely related field is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CFD techniques and software applications is required.
- Experience in multiphase flow simulation, particularly within the context of nuclear engineering, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies would be a valuable asset.
