Role Purpose:

The Purchasing Manager serves as the primary liaison with subcontractors engaged in the production, personalization, and repair of terminals.

This role involves executing the strategic directives established by Operations, negotiating costs for goods and services, and actively enhancing supply chain processes while supporting quality assurance negotiations and the introduction of innovative products.

The Purchasing Manager acts as the procurement representative for operations, collaborating closely with various departments including product management, development, supply chain, quality assurance, and industrialization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee high-level relationships with subcontractors and factories, participating actively in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
  • Establish corporate agreements with subcontractors and factories.
  • Implement the Operations strategy in collaboration with New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance.
  • Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process from initial tender to final contractual agreement.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms and conditions (including value-added services and acquisition costs).
  • Ensure proper implementation of negotiated terms and conditions for components.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential partners and emerging trends.
  • Oversee suppliers involved in repair and customization services.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation skills, capable of securing favorable pricing and payment terms while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Ability to command respect during negotiations with existing and prospective suppliers.
  • Exceptional communication skills with extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts and agreements.
  • Experience in collaborating with various departments in a cooperative environment.
  • Highly organized, adept at following instructions, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient problem solver with a knack for proposing innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Educational Background and Experience:

  • Master's degree preferred, ideally with a strong technical foundation.
  • Experience in procurement, RFQ processes, pricing, incoterms, and contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience in electronics within low-cost markets.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in IT, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite, and strong expertise in Excel.
