About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Estimating Engineer to join our team. As an Estimating Engineer, you will be responsible for constructing and validating prices for Onshore and Offshore projects during major calls for tender or front-end studies for Paris-based activities, reporting to the Head of the Estimating Department.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Identify appropriate estimation methods in relation to the scope of work.
- Manage a team of estimating engineers on a day-to-day basis, coordinate interfaces with the heads of the technical disciplines concerned, and train young engineers where necessary.
- Analyse risks, uncertainties, and opportunities.
- Provide the most cost-effective solutions, taking account of contractual obligations.
- Present the price sheet and basis of estimates for handover to management, using benchmarks, project data, and methods.
- Support the sales team in clarifying any price quotes, the project team in any clarification/presentation of the estimating process with customers or partners.
Your Profile:
We would like to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: you have experience in project engineering in the oil and gas sector, more than 3 years' professional experience in engineering, process, and cost control in a leadership position, flexibility in your way of thinking and acting, and a systematic and methodical approach to your work. You enjoy working in a team and have good interpersonal skills, and you are fluent in English and have a good command of Excel.
