Your Responsibilities
- Design and implement shared services that boost operational efficiency and innovation.
- Integrate community-driven products into our existing framework.
- Create and refine custom tools using scripting or advanced programming languages.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Assist various business units in transitioning their solutions to our cutting-edge infrastructure through automation and CI/CD practices.
- Manage and innovate shared services and tools to enhance availability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively to develop robust, reliable, and resilient production systems.
- Enhance our automation framework and CI/CD pipelines.
- Produce comprehensive documentation for both technical and user audiences.
- Perform daily operational tasks, including change management and application monitoring.
- Ensure the security of our services, with a strong focus on industry standards.
What We Seek
- Academic qualifications or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Linux in a high-availability environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in development and programming.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Quick learner with a strong grasp of complex automation systems.
- Passionate about automation and open-source technologies.
- Advocate for Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Aim for minimal support solutions and self-healing systems.
- Security-focused mindset.
- Skilled in balancing stability with agility and operational tasks with software engineering.
- Essential Skills: In-depth knowledge of major storage vendor products (e.g., HPE, HDS, NetApp, PureStorage). Familiarity with block and file storage systems, SAN/FC, and SAN/IP systems. Experience with version control systems like Git, GitLab, and CI/CD processes. Proficient in automation tools such as Puppet and Terraform. Strong scripting skills (bash, python, ruby). Understanding of networking protocols (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing). Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, GoLang, Perl). Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). Experience in multi-data center setups and hybrid infrastructures. Knowledge of security standards (PCI-DSS). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with service discovery in micro-frontend architectures. Previous experience as an SRE or in a similar operational role. Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure). Understanding of compliance and security best practices in cloud environments.
