Are you enthusiastic about fostering community connections and enjoying delicious meals?
Become a part of our local dining initiative and help cultivate a friendly environment, interact with patrons, participate in collaborative meal preparation, organize community gatherings, manage communications, and undertake various creative tasks.
Your Role as a Community Engagement Volunteer
Goals
Collaborate with the Canteen Coordinator and fellow volunteers to:
- Build meaningful relationships with community members
- Address social isolation challenges
- Advocate for accessible, high-quality meals
- Facilitate workshops and events for local residents
Responsibilities
- Cook alongside community members, co-create and execute recipes
- Oversee social media outreach
- Prepare the dining space and greet visitors
- Organize social events to strengthen community ties
- Enhance the canteen's visibility within the community
- Participate in discussions with local collaborators
- Contribute personal initiatives based on your skills or interests
