As a Principal Research Scientist - Quantum Error Correction, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's hardware roadmap and contributing to the development of a fault-tolerant architecture based on cat qubits.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Research and Development: Design and develop a fault-tolerant quantum computing architecture based on cat qubits, including bosonic codes, concatenated codes, and classical components.
- Develop Fault-Tolerant Implementations: Create fault-tolerant implementations for a universal set of gates for the architecture.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze the performance of the architecture based on realistic error models developed with the Hardware Design & Analysis team.
- Collaboration: Work with the Algorithms & Applications team to conduct resource estimations for specific applications.
- Application-Specific Architectures: Lead the design of application-specific architectures, tailoring quantum computing solutions to meet specific use-case requirements.
- Education: PhD in Quantum Error Correction (QEC)
- Experience: 5+ years of research in the field or equivalent experience, with a proven track record of publishing academic papers as a lead author and participating in top conferences in QEC.
- Skills: Expertise in fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures, experience as a manager, ability to elaborate product and technical roadmaps, and excellent communication skills.
