We are seeking a highly skilled Design Product Engineer to join our team at Ligentec SA. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for various high-tech applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and simulation of integrated photonic components and circuits for strategic roadmap projects
- Design, simulation, layout, test planning, and data analysis
- Interaction with the 200mm characterization team to collect capabilities, design test structures, and support in test planning and data analysis (design for testability)
- Interaction with the 200mm process team and yield engineering to collect capabilities and requirements, design test structures, and support in test planning and data processing and analysis (design for manufacturability)
- MSc or PhD in photonics or related fields
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in integrated optics design, preferably industrial
- Solid understanding of different photonic material platforms
- Experience with design tools such as IPKISS and GDSFactory
- Programming skills in Python and experience with git
- Ability to work independently and with remote teams
- Working proficiency in English (French is a plus)
