Ipsen Pharma (SAS) is pleased to present an opportunity for the role of Vice President of Global Product Quality . This position is integral to the Global Manufacturing Leadership Team, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact on our operations.

The Vice President of Global Product Quality is responsible for ensuring Quality Assurance oversight across Specialty Care Manufacturing Sites, Engineering, and Global Tech Operations. The role demands a commitment to uphold GxP standards across all locations in a unified, efficient, and compliant manner, in line with Ipsen's Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Ensure compliance standards are consistently maintained across various units.
  • Strive for harmonization of Quality processes across all operational units.
  • Identify and promote opportunities for ongoing improvement within the organization.
  • As a leader, establish an effective organizational structure to meet Ipsen's objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Deliver strategic, functional, and operational quality leadership to teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide a comprehensive assessment of compliance status across all operations and accountable organizations.
  • Oversee key Quality processes including Quality System Executive Board (QSEB), Inspection Readiness, and Complaints management.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Offer professional expertise and support to the Global Manufacturing Leadership Team (GMLT).
  • Address critical Quality issues and navigate associated decision-making pathways.
  • Define organizational structures, performance measures, and management review processes, reporting on unit performance.
  • Manage talent acquisition, training, development, succession planning, and performance evaluation for your team.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Product Quality team.
  • Provide leadership, clear objectives, and guidance on Quality deliverables across accountable units, monitoring performance closely.
  • Act as an ambassador for Ipsen's Quality Culture as a Quality Leader.
  • Challenge existing practices and pursue continuous improvement initiatives.

GxP Guidance

  • Offer ongoing Quality support, expertise, and guidance to all accountable functional areas.
  • Ensure all units are prepared for inspections.
  • Develop strategies to manage global Quality topics, ensuring alignment across units.
  • Define and implement operational best practices and processes in a harmonized manner.
  • Lead the Quality Improvement initiatives for accountable units.
  • Communicate updates, issues, and project proposals to internal stakeholders and management effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven ability to operate in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to manage Critical Quality Topics while balancing risks related to Patients, Compliance, Quality, Supply, and Medical.
  • Proven track record of leading diverse teams and collaborating effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Recognized leader with the ability to inspire teams to achieve exceptional results, leveraging emotional intelligence.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with skills in innovation and problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tenacity, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships across various functions.
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence decisions and communicate effectively in diverse situations.
  • High learning agility and willingness to adapt strategies to achieve best-in-class outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical operations and GxP expectations.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, ideally in Operations, Quality, and Global roles.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Operational Excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PMO).
