About the Role:
The Weight Control discipline is a critical component of our projects, covering various areas such as floating wind, offshore, and modular. It provides a holistic view of projects, lasting several months. As a Weight Control Engineer, you will work closely with all project engineering activities and disciplines to monitor and oversee weight control studies and calculate the carbon footprint of the engineering portion (scope 3 upstream material & equipment).
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and analyze weights and center of gravity on projects by compiling data from each discipline.
- Calculate the carbon footprint of the engineering portion of projects in execution.
- Compile weight control reports.
- Manage weight and center of gravity database.
- Administer the carbon footprint emission factor database.
- Develop weight control specifications applicable to disciplines, in accordance with client regulations and specifications.
- Anticipate weight and center of gravity changes on the project and propose solutions in collaboration with disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, structural...).
- Maintain the weight control quality procedure and ensure its proper implementation, ensuring historical tracking.
About You:
We are looking for a generalist engineer with 1-2 years of experience in offshore design or onshore modularization. You should be mobile, rigorous, curious, autonomous, proactive, and have a real sense of teamwork. Fluency in English is a must.
