About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global VP Data & AI to join our team at Sephora. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of analytics and AI across our business value chain, with a focus on incremental business value, efficiency, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evangelize and Foster Adoption: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to promote the use of analytics and AI across our organization, ensuring seamless integration with our business operations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Teams: Work closely with our regional teams to identify high-value business opportunities that can be optimized with data and AI, and develop solutions to address these opportunities.
  • Define AI & Data Roadmap: Collaborate with regional teams to define the AI and data roadmap, aligning it with our company's broader business goals and identifying synergies to promote the reusability of key components and algorithmic assets.
  • Ensure Effective Data Governance: Champion effective data governance across our organization, ensuring that data is accurate, reliable, and secure.
  • Establish Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external technology providers, research institutions, and industry consortia to capture emerging trends in AI and data.
  • Enhance Awareness and Culture: Promote awareness of the potential of AI and data within our organization, inspiring a data-centric culture and driving innovation and collaboration across teams.
Requirements
  • Customer Orientation: Strong customer orientation, with excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at engaging with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Business Acumen: Exceptional business acumen and a strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in AI/ML and data-driven projects and teams, with a preference for those who have initiated or led similar centers of excellence.
  • Comprehensive Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of AI and data technologies and applications, with a demonstrated track record of deploying solutions that generate significant business value.
  • Strategic Thinking: Outstanding strategic thinking abilities, capable of leading in a dynamic and rapidly evolving technological landscape.
  • Change Management: 15 years of experience in change management and leadership by influence, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration.
