About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ILS Portfolio Manager to join our team at AXA IM ALTS. As a key member of our Alternative Credit team, you will be responsible for sourcing and analyzing deals, developing relationships with brokers, banks, and ceding companies, and managing our ILS portfolio using our front office tool, Ouranos.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and analyzing deals, including cat bonds, collateralized reinsurance, and Industry Loss Warranty (ILW) transactions
  • Developing relationships with brokers, banks, and ceding companies to identify new business opportunities
  • Managing our ILS portfolio, including deal analysis, documentation, and presentation to the Investment Committee
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance, to ensure seamless deal execution
  • Participating in the development of our front office tool, Ouranos, and providing recommendations for new functionalities
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in the (re)insurance industry, with a deep understanding of industry practices and regulations
  • Experience in the ILS space, including structuring and managing ILS products, is a plus
  • Proficiency in using catastrophe modeling tools, such as RMS and AIR, for risk assessment
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Well-organized and rigorous, with a meticulous approach to tasks and detail-oriented work
  • Sense of initiative, with the ability to proactively identify and drive improvements and innovations
  • Team spirit, with a collaborative approach to working with internal teams
