Job Title: Senior Banking Lawyer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Banking Lawyer to join our Standard Chartered Bank AG legal team in Paris. The successful candidate will have a strong background in French banking and financial law and will be responsible for supporting the use of master agreements and related documentation with existing and new clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the management of contract templates for SCB AG's Financial Markets business, including master agreements and trade confirmations.
  • Conduct initial reviews of negotiation playbooks and other governance documents.
  • Collaborate with the SCB AG legal team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • University degree (Bac + 5) in French banking and financial law.
  • Proficiency in English and French, with the ability to effectively articulate complex legal concepts in both languages.
  • Spanish law qualification in addition to the French law qualification would be considered a strong asset.
