Amazon Data Services France SAS is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping us automate and scale security, while responding to security issues across the largest cloud provider in the world.
Key Responsibilities- As a highly trusted technical lead, you will navigate ambiguity, simplify complex problems, and effectively communicate a vision.
- You will work part of a team, making appropriate trade-offs between business and technical constraints.
- You will identify opportunities to converge overlapping technical efforts and drive the long-term strategy with support of other engineering leaders and partner organizations.
- You will carry on-call duties, directly supporting our internal incident security operations response team or maintaining response capabilities for our customers.
- You will drive operational excellence and efficiency in everything you do, researching new capabilities, scaling up existing ones, creating sane procedures, automating day-to-day tasks, and ensuring the needs and issues of our internal customers are being addressed.
- A BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or 5+ years' equivalent technology experience.
- 3+ years of experience building scalable security utilities and tools.
- 3+ years of experience with web protocols and Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
- 3+ years of experience in host, network, and application security.
- 2+ years of experience building automated tools, preferably in Python, JavaScript, and/or Java.
- A MS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or 5+ years' equivalent technology experience.
- A high degree of organization and detail-oriented skills.
- Previous experience on a Security Operations team or experience coordinating responses to security incidents.
- Autonomously utilizing excellent project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of internet security issues and threat landscape.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, familiarity with AWS and GuardDuty services is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of web protocols and an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
- Well-rounded background in host, network, and application security.
- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role.
- Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
