Senior Buyer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Buyer to join our team at Groupe Lactalis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead a functional network of local buyers, drive strategic sourcing initiatives, and contribute to the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a network of 12 local buyers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate agreements, and manage their performance.
  • Identify and leverage supplier capabilities in long-term development processes, driving competitive advantages and analyzing supply risks to define priorities for packaging security.
  • Manage the purchasing budget, mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities to support the company's rapid growth.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, commodities, and/or industrial expertise in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with strategic vision and the ability to build a network that supports business goals.
  • Able to set priorities, take a step back, and be pragmatic, with tenacity, strong adaptation, and relationship capabilities.
  • Professional sourcing experience or education background that provides relevant knowledge within the purchasing area.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary: €100,000 - €120,000 per annum.

  • Fluency in French required.
