Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Specialist to join our team at Edp Renovaveis Servicios Financieros SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design process of assigned projects, providing technical support to the development phase, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Development: Coordinate the preparation of technical projects for the development of renewable energy generation plants and electrical interconnection infrastructure.
- Electrical Infrastructure Design: Participate in the design of the electrical infrastructure of the generation plants for the interconnection to the electric network common infrastructure.
- Specialized Studies: Coordinate and validate with other Technology Units the execution of specific key studies for its integration in the engineering project.
- Technical Standardization: Coordinate and ensure the development and application of technical standardization in the concerned geography.
- Tender Preparation: Coordinate the preparation of technical packages to deliver to Procurement for the construction Request for Proposals (RfPs) of renewable energy generation plants and electrical interconnection infrastructure.
- Project Handover: Make an optimum transfer of projects under Engineering responsibility to the Construction unit.
- Company Policy and Compliance: Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment, and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility.
- EDPR Representation: Represent EDPR to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of EDPR.
Requirements
Academic Background: Master of Science (Electrical Engineering) / Diplôme d'Ingénieur. A postgraduate in Renewable Energies will be valued.
Professional Experience: At least 3-4-year experience in Solar PV Power Plants.
Required Skills: PV Plants, Medium voltage Substations projects. Knowledge of International technical normative. Use of CAD softwares (Civil3D and PVCase preferably). Ability to perform duties in a collaborative, multi-national working environment.
Language: French and English (Spanish, Portuguese, and others are a plus).
