Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Non-Life Treaty Underwriter to join our team in Paris. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future together with our team and contribute to the development of our reinsurance business in Western and Southern Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwriting and Risk Management
- Take the lead in assessing and managing risks for our clients and partners.
- Develop and execute strategies for profitable treaty reinsurance business.
- Manage portfolio exposures for different lines of businesses and support in risk accumulation control.
- Represent Vig Re in your allocated markets and at conferences.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.
- Contribute to the development of our reinsurance business in Western and Southern Europe.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
- Work closely with colleagues and other functions to ensure seamless underwriting processes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in reinsurance underwriting.
- University degree in quantitative studies or economics.
- Deep understanding and experience in the assessment and management of risks.
- Advanced analytical skills and ability to work with complex data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent French and English.
- Willingsness to travel.
