Youth Programs Coordinator for the François Mitterrand Media Library in Clamart

(Position Category: Patrimony Conservation Assistant)

The F. MITTERRAND Media Library is an integral part of the Clamart Library system, catering to a community of residents. This library network comprises two media libraries and two traditional libraries, all interconnected with a total of 7 intermunicipal media libraries serving the surrounding areas.

Located in the Upper Clamart District, the F. MITTERRAND Media Library spans 1800 m2 across two levels, featuring various workspaces, a digital zone, video game rentals, and an extensive Manga collection of over 3000 titles, drawing in a significant number of young patrons.

The Youth Space within the library collaborates closely with the Adult Space and other Youth Spaces across the network.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Director of the Clamart Library Network, your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming, informing, and advising visitors
• Leading and supervising a team of 3 staff members
• Managing the library's collections and establishing guidelines in alignment with management: acquisitions, budget oversight, and promotion
• Contributing to cultural initiatives within your area and network projects: proposing ideas, hosting providers, and managing team-led activities

Candidate Profile:

Applicants should possess a DUT, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree, accompanied by several years of successful supervisory experience in a bookstore or library setting.

Recognized for your leadership abilities: capacity to engage with your team, guide, unite, and foster development.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Developing and managing relationships with local partners: early childcare centers, schools, and recreational facilities

• Assisting in organizing collections, managing reservations, and overseeing transfers
