SUBSEA CONTRACT ENGINEER LEAD
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in assisting the Project Control Manager (PCM), the Project Contract Lead, and the Subsea Manager in overseeing all contractual and procurement activities associated with the SURF and SPS packages pertinent to the project.
# The individual will be tasked with preparing the contractual documentation (Agreements, Exhibits, ITT, and communications with bidders and Contractors) for the SURF and SPS Call For Tender (CFT) package.# The role involves providing support to the Project Control Manager, Project Contract Lead, Subsea Manager, and the SURF team, while also coordinating with other project teams as necessary.
Develop effective contracting strategies in collaboration with the Subsea Manager and Project Contract Lead.
# Manage the contractual relationships with Tenderers and Contractors throughout various project phases, including pre-Project, FEED, Call For Tender preparation, and contract finalization.
# Ensure that all commercial and contractual communications with contractors are handled efficiently.
# Assist the Subsea Manager in the timely preparation and delivery of the SURF Call For Tender contractual package, including the SURF EPCI, SPS EPCI, and SPS Life of Field Contracts, ensuring compliance with project standards and shareholder requirements.
# Formulate and execute negotiation strategies with contractors, leading negotiations with the support of the Subsea Manager and Project Contract Lead as needed.
# Coordinate the evaluation of tenders and the preparation of RTA, serving as the primary contractual contact for Contractors.
# Ensure that Contractors adhere to all contractual obligations across all areas.
# Provide internal reporting on contract activities in accordance with company policies.
# Collaborate with the Project Control Manager, Project Contract Lead, and other package teams as required.
# Support the Subsea Manager in all aspects of the SURF and SPS Call For Tender, clarification and evaluation processes, project execution, and contract management, while also managing relationships with Partners.
# Work closely with other SURF and SPS team members to monitor correspondence and contract activities throughout the entire CFT process and during project execution. Raise awareness of contract requirements within the project team and develop strategies to safeguard project interests.
# Contribute to project reporting concerning contract and procurement matters.
# The technical challenges faced by the project will include reservoir development and management, as well as defining subsea production/injection systems in a demanding environment.
# Contract Type: Renewable
# Required Qualifications: Master's degree in a relevant field, Master of Business Administration.
# Language Proficiency:
English.
# Professional Experience:
Minimum of 15 years in contract management.
Experience in large offshore oil & gas projects (execution phase) with a focus on SURF and SPS contracts is essential.
# The ideal candidate will be a team player, capable of collaborating effectively across complex project teams and interfacing between various departments within an international context.
# A strong understanding of company contracts, procedures, and policies is required, with prior experience with major SURF or SPS Contractors being preferable.
