Join Our Team as a Cloud Storage Solutions Architect

Are you enthusiastic about assisting clients in developing storage and cloud infrastructures? At AWS, we are dedicated to creating optimal solutions that maximize the value of your storage systems.

We are seeking a Solutions Architect for our Storage division, who will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) guiding clients in designing intricate solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients across various sectors (such as Financial Services, Media, Manufacturing, Technology, Healthcare, and Retail) to facilitate large-scale implementations and promote the adoption of advanced AWS services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with product teams and third-party model providers to empower customers in developing and deploying data workloads on AWS.
  • Designing top-tier storage infrastructure solutions for all phases of customer and product lifecycles.
  • Utilizing your technical expertise and business acumen to implement storage and data strategies effectively.
  • Partnering with Solution Architects, Sales, Business Development, and Service teams to enhance customer adoption and drive revenue growth.
  • Working alongside account teams, research scientists, and product teams to implement models and innovate new solutions.
  • Demonstrating thought leadership by sharing best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking engagements.
  • Acting as a technical liaison between clients and AWS teams to provide feedback for product enhancements.
  • Building and nurturing an internal AWS community of related subject matter experts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining storage environments.
  • Familiarity with application, server, and network security.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with substantial experience in software development, IT, storage, and networking implementations, including security and compliance.
  • Consulting experience, particularly with global accounts and large commercial clients.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Proven knowledge of IT network architectures, including various layers and protocols.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data center networking environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in architecting and operating cloud solutions.
  • Understanding of enterprise IT storage architectures and their integration into large-scale production applications.
  • Familiarity with AWS Storage Services such as S3, Glacier, EFS, AWS Storage Gateway, and Snowball.
  • Comprehension of the role networking plays in complex storage architectures.
  • Experience in technical enablement through content creation and speaking engagements.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Powershell, Python, bash).
  • A degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Comfort in addressing large audiences.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • A demonstrated capacity to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Technical communication skills to bridge business outcomes with technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and the utilization of storage technology for modern data solutions.
