About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Operations Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services France SAS. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers and providing technical support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment within the data center.
  • Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
  • Develop work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets.
  • Work on-call and a rotating schedule as needed.
  • Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, and task prioritization.
  • Perform shift duty as required.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
  • Perform rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
  • Verify electrical and cooling capacity before new rack installs.
  • Create and close work orders with appropriate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management systems.
  • Maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective and preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field.
  • Demonstrate key electrical competencies (practice and theory) and knowledge of mechanical systems (mechanical, HVAC systems, controls).
  • Good English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data Center engineering experience.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Familiar with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending.
