We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Investment Analyst to join our European Infrastructure Team at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
Key Responsibilities- Transaction Execution: Participate in the execution of transactions based on required risk and return, and assist with post-investment management of CDPQ's assets in Europe.
- Research and Strategic Initiatives: Assist Directors in various research and strategic initiatives, including analyzing investment proposals, developing and reviewing detailed financial models, and providing advice on evaluating potential investments.
- Investment Analysis: Conduct initial detailed verification of investment possibilities, lead the drafting of authorization documents for new investment possibilities, and assist main collaborators with negotiating trade agreements and shareholding structures.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare internal and external reports on portfolio companies, and produce sectoral studies on potential target markets to develop.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or engineering; Master's in financing, MBA, or CFA would be considered an asset.
- Experience: One to two years of experience in investing, corporate finance, or investment banking; we are open to receiving applicants with a maximum of three years of experience.
- Skills: Solid experience in financial analysis and modeling, very strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), and proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
