The Creation Platform is integral to Amadeus' growth strategy within the Travel Unit, serving as the backbone of the next-generation travel ecosystem. It facilitates connections among partners, suppliers, customers, and travelers through innovative solutions, capabilities, intelligence, and content, all designed to enhance traveler-centric journeys of the future.

The mission of the Creation Platform is to foster innovation that accelerates business value and improves process efficiency by sharing capabilities across Amadeus' business lines, rather than adhering to a strictly vertical product line approach.

We seek a skilled Product Manager who can adeptly navigate the complexities of the ecosystem, engage with multiple stakeholders, and demonstrate a strong commitment to traveler-centricity and platform capabilities, while being enthusiastic about Amadeus' strategy to open its systems.

Purpose

In this role, you will oversee one of the 'traveler' platform capabilities designed to assist capability consumers in enhancing their traveler-centric strategies.

As a Platform Product Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting requirement analysis, market analysis, and IT/technical monitoring.
  • Developing platform capabilities strategy and positioning, including product lifecycle management and internal/external exposure.
  • Providing support to delivery teams for technical and functional solution analysis.
  • Assisting in execution through prioritization, resource availability, and budget management.

Additionally, you will contribute to the product management activities of T-DNA, a product aimed at airlines that provides insights regarding travelers.

Main Responsibilities

The Amadeus Creation platform encompasses the following capabilities under the 'traveler' umbrella:

  • Traveler data protection.
  • Traveler 360 & intelligence.
  • Traveler wallet.

As the Product Manager for these capabilities, you will be responsible for:

Positioning

  • Leading communications with Amadeus business lines, engineering teams, and Creation Platform architects to identify requirements, opportunities, and governance/compliance challenges.
  • Contributing to the traveler capability strategy by collaborating with other platform product managers and maximizing synergies between capabilities within and outside the traveler domain.
  • Communicating the evolution of capabilities and gathering feedback from users and the product management community to refine the roadmap and enhance adoption.
  • Proposing strategic directions to management to ensure cohesive communication, including investment/budget proposals and feature prioritization.
  • Conveying strategic directions to capability consumers and other stakeholders.

Lifecycle

  • Managing platform capabilities through various stages of maturity.
  • Overseeing the capability lifecycle, from introducing new technologies to decommissioning strategies.
  • Measuring success through metrics and implementing strategies to maximize capability usage.
  • Defining the cost model and monitoring the evolution of capability unit costs.

Execution

  • Maintaining a well-groomed platform capability backlog in collaboration with relevant Epic Owners, proactively communicating significant changes to stakeholders.
  • Owning the long-term vision and roadmap for capabilities, working with Epic Owners, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering to refine requirements and ensure a balanced roadmap.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing feature delivery to align with go-to-market activities for new features across the organization.

About Our Ideal Candidate

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a product manager, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in customer-centric strategies or customer data platforms.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and adaptable to a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
