Your Role
The Sustainability team is a key part of the TN&H (Taste, Nutrition & Health) segment, which is one of the three strategic pillars of the company. The mission of the Sustainability team is to ensure that Sustainability becomes an integral part of the TN&H value proposition.
To support this mission, the Symrise TN&H sustainability team is seeking a Project Manager - Sustainability to be located in Rennes (France) or Clichy (France), Marlow (United Kingdom).
The Sustainability Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all sustainability designated projects are properly and efficiently delivered. This role will also coordinate the process/ways of working structuration within the organization and help to prioritize the sustainability program pipeline in adequation with the resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Act as PMO in the global Sustainability process according to the TN&H sustainability strategy, ensure resource allocation and performance, and managing the program pipeline
- Collaboration: Ensure that sustainability is embedded in the different ways of working/processes of the organization and support the change
- Liaison Role: Be the point of contact for new initiatives, analyze emerging topics, check the relevance for integration in the sustainability strategy and design the appropriate program or project charter. Act as the liaison between the Sustainability team and other departments of TN&H and Symrise (S&C, Corporate), ensuring consistent ways of working, implementation, and synergy across functions and regions
- Program Leadership: Drive the execution and develop policies, guidelines, and methodology. Monitor budget & expense in the program portfolio management
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a background in the FMCG industry, preferably in the food ingredient industry. A good knowledge of the different processes of the respective value chain is required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in project management or PMO in an international matrix organization is necessary. Experience in Sustainability will be a plus.
Very good project management, organization, and leadership skills are required. Full proficiency in English is mandatory, other languages are an advantage.
Good communication skills to exchange with the different departments in the organization are necessary. A passion for the topic of sustainability that translates into an ability to engage and inspire others and present the topic to various audiences in convincing ways is required.
