Solar Asset Manager Job Description

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a skilled Solar Asset Manager to join our team in France. As a key member of our Asset Management Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of a portfolio of solar assets, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise multiple solar assets, requiring regular travel
  • Maximize production, minimize downtime, and improve efficiency to meet or exceed business targets
  • Monitor plant performance using KPIs and track and calculate all plant losses regularly, implementing corrective actions
  • Oversee O&M contractors and external consultants, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
  • Manage compliance and mitigation measures set by authorities
  • Oversee PPA contracts and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (off-takers, grid operators, contractors, landowners, lenders, etc.)
  • Prepare and update O&M budget forecasts in collaboration with the finance department
  • Initiate claims against contractors, manufacturers, or insurers when necessary
  • Assist the Development team in setting up O&M solutions and negotiating agreements for future projects
Requirements:
  • Degree in engineering (process, civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental)
  • Additional qualifications in business or project management are a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the solar or wind power industry
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy plants and associated equipment, including high voltage infrastructure
  • High-level troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical innovation skills
  • Experience in contract management and familiarity with Health, Safety & Environment regulations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership, planning, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Autonomous, responsible, and able to travel within France and internationally
  • Fluent in English and French, with a valid driving license

Note: Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
