We are looking for a proficient and committed Nuclear Systems Engineer to become part of our team in the nuclear sector. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the design, evaluation, and upkeep of mechanical systems within our nuclear operations. This position is essential for guaranteeing the safety, efficiency, and dependability of our processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and Development Engineer and create mechanical systems and components for nuclear operations, including reactors, piping networks, and support frameworks.Ensure that designs adhere to safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. System Evaluation and Enhancement Perform evaluations to determine the performance and reliability of mechanical systems.Refine system designs to boost efficiency, safety, and durability. Maintenance and Diagnostics Establish and execute maintenance strategies for mechanical systems.Diagnose and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted operation of mechanical systems. Project Oversight Oversee mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project schedules and budgets are adhered to. Regulatory Adherence Guarantee that all mechanical engineering activities conform to national and international nuclear safety regulations and standards.Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and reports for regulatory authorities. Risk Assessment Conduct risk evaluations and formulate mitigation strategies for mechanical systems.Implement safety protocols and procedures to safeguard personnel and equipment. Technical Assistance Offer technical support and guidance to other engineering teams and departments.Assist in the assessment and selection of mechanical equipment and materials. Continuous Development Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in mechanical engineering.Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering and nuclear industry standards. Documentation and Reporting Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation of designs, evaluations, maintenance activities, and system performance.Generate reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Training and Mentorship Engage in the training and development of junior engineers and technical personnel.Provide training on mechanical systems and safety protocols as required.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng)) is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally within the nuclear sector or a similarly regulated environment.Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Strong project management skills.Additional Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.Willingness to travel to various sites and facilities as needed.-
