Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our expense management team, tasked with developing a premier expense management solution for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and various teams in an agile setting.
  • Design and implement software components and automated testing protocols.
  • Produce well-structured, efficient, and testable code in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies, including TDD and BDD, in daily operations.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the collective knowledge of the team.
  • Diagnose, debug, and enhance existing software systems.
  • Assess user feedback to identify areas for improving the user experience.
  • Contribute to operational responsibilities for the services managed by your team, including monitoring and release management.
  • Promote an inner-source culture by delivering high-quality code that elevates both your team and the organization as a whole.
  • Showcase your contributions through our tech blog and at internal and external conferences.
  • Foster a team-oriented and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Work with cutting-edge development technologies, including hexagonal architecture, domain-driven design, event storming, and software craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java development.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to enhancing productivity through tools like ChatOps.
  • A degree in engineering (or equivalent) and proficiency in English are essential.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and front-end development is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture.
  • A strong inclination towards code review and collaborative improvement.
  • A solid understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in software development.
  • A DevOps mindset, believing in the responsibility of development teams for deploying and monitoring their applications using tools such as Kibana, Datadog, GitHub, and Hubot.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Maven, Jenkins, Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit, Wiremock, Mockito, and Git.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Enjoyment of working in a diverse and multicultural environment that champions inclusion.
