Job Title: CAD Lead Designer

Subsea 7 is seeking a highly skilled CAD Lead Designer to join our team. As a CAD Lead Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design team in the creation of complex drawings and sketches using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare design and fabrication drawings of steel structures and piping.
  • Develop offshore installation method sketches and rigging drawings.
  • Oversee and check the work of a team of draftsmen/designers.
  • Provide project communication and ensure the delivery of quality work and services.
  • Identify and communicate project resource requirements.
  • Evaluate and prioritize work for self and others.
  • Participate in relevant training and development.
  • Guide, train, and develop junior personnel.
  • Interface with project discipline leads to ensure CAD deliverable schedule is being met.
Requirements:
  • Technical education related to mechanical, structural, or civil engineering.
  • Relevant previous design and drafting experience in steel fabrication and installation procedure at Senior level.
  • Ability to assign, oversee, check, and approve the work of a team on a project.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and manage time accordingly.
  • Produces work of presentable quality.
  • Well-versed in industry codes, standards, and design guidelines.
  • Good experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience in Offshore Wind installation/structures.
  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D for layout and alignment sheet production.
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault for data (drawings/models) management.
