Lead ECU Validation Engineer

MISSION

Oversee the component validation team:

  • Directs and orchestrates all activities related to component validation.
  • Owns and manages tools, methodologies, and processes for component validation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility 1: Coordination of the ECU Validation & Development team

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs as committed to the project.
  • Monitor the progress of component development & validation within project teams (issues, discrepancies,...).
  • Manage the traceability of ECUs under development & testing and address specific validation phase requirements.
  • Ensure that bench configurations are consistently updated in line with software versions (Canoe, Canape) and that automated benches are properly maintained.
  • Provide monthly progress reports.
  • Ensure adherence to processes related to Mechatronics, IATF, and OPmobility Corporate quality standards.
  • Promote the application and sharing of lessons learned & best practices within the team.
  • Foster effective communication & strong relationships with ECU suppliers.

Responsibility 2: Technical Expertise

  • Address technical software issues & bugs, and conduct risk assessments for bugs identified during validation.
  • Engage in the development of innovative programs (rapid prototyping,...).
  • Software-related tasks.

Responsibility 3: Process Enhancement

  • Implement tools and methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Manage and refine the processes for the component validation team.
  • Define and adjust KPIs to effectively monitor the team's activities.

PROFILE

Personal Background

  • Experience within the automotive sector.
  • Familiarity with IATF, SPICE standards.
  • Understanding of OBD and automotive standards (IUMPR, FOM, etc).

Technical Skills

  • Extensive experience in Automotive, ECUs, Actuators, and Sensors.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Software, AUTOSAR, Simulink Models, UDS, and CAN.
  • Proficient in CAN tools such as CANoe, CANape (Vector tools), diagnostics tools, scripting, and data mining.
  • Strong background in Validation, HIL, and MIL.

Soft Skills

  • Proficient in English.
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.
