As a key member of Google's Strategic Negotiation team, you will play a critical role in securing infrastructure for Google's future growth. This involves operating underwater cables, finding data center space, and overseeing vendor and partner relationships. Your deep market knowledge and tech industry savvy will enable you to find solutions that support Google's growth, while ensuring contract compliance and identifying cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead strategic evaluations of regulatory and policy environments in the Middle East and Europe to assess risks and opportunities for Google's data center electricity supply portfolio.
- Support efforts to further market solutions to Google's electricity supply needs in new markets, including design of regulatory and market engagement strategies.
- Work cross-functionally with others on Google's Global Infrastructure, Public Policy, and other teams to develop policy and market positions, and communicate to key constituencies.
- Lead advocacy work through energy trade associations, industry partners, non-profit groups, and other allies to advance Google's strategic energy interests and priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Law, Policy, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in policy analysis, policy development, and organizational development.
- Experience within the climate or energy industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
